Since Vosen's White Bread contains no preservatives, it is best eaten within 3-4 days. The crust acts as a natural preserver and keeps the interior moist and soft. That is why we recommend to cut only as many slices as you actually want to eat, because sliced bread dries much faster. You should keep the remaining bread in a plastic bag and store it in a dry cool place. During summer time refrigeration is recommended to avoid mold.
If you choose to freeze the bread, tightly wrap it in a plastic bag. It will keep up to 1 month. To serve from a frozen state, remove it from the bag and heat it in a 400o F oven for 5-10 minutes. Remove it from the oven and let it sit for 5 more minutes. DO NOT UNDERBAKE.
This product is, due to its relatively short shelf life, not very well to ship. We would recommend this only for short distance or overnight shipping.
This bread is a great base for any kind of sandwich. It also goes very well with soups, salads and steaks. Leftovers can be used for bread crumbs or croutons.
