Since Vosen'sBauernbrot contains no preservatives, it is best eaten within 3-4 days. The crust acts as anatural preserver and keeps the interior moist and soft. That is why werecommend to cut only as many slices as you actually want to eat, because slicedbread dries much faster. You should keep the remaining bread in a plastic bagand store it in a dry cool place. During summer time refrigeration isrecommended to avoid mold.
If you chooseto freeze the bread, tightly wrap it in a plastic bag. It will keep up to 1month. To serve from a frozen state, remove it from the bag and heat it in a 400o F oven for 5-10 minutes. Remove it from the oven and let it sit for 5 moreminutes. DO NOT UNDERBAKE.
